Fontana delle Api
The Fontana delle Api is located in Piazza Barberini in Rome. It was built by Gianlorenzo Bernini in 1644. It was then rebuilt in 1915-16. After a restoration, in 2000, the head of a bee was damaged and, in 2004, a copy was placed at the same point. In the Bernini fountain, bees are associated with the theme of water understood as an image of eternal life.
